Our Mission

The core concern for the Seed Institute is the humiliation that is so harshly inflicted on people by poverty; a humiliation that tends to render people invisible and without voice. In line with this concern, the Seed Institute works to ensure that people living in poverty and marginalized are equipped with tools, knowledge and skills of exercising their right to a voice in decision-making processes.

The Seed Institute builds knowledge infrastructures that connect the social processes of people living in poverty and marginalization with decision making processes– the development of relationships, reflective conversations, probing questions and in-depth interactions – that are the backbone of participatory decision making.
